Direction to Use: Preparation: Ensure that the power supply is properly connected to the scaler unit and is receiving the recommended voltage (220-240V, 50Hz/60Hz). Connect the handpiece and the scaling tip to the scaler unit securely. Patient Preparation: Provide the patient with protective eyewear. Place a dental bib or protective covering over the patient's chest and neck to protect against any splatter. Operation: Press the power button on the scaler unit to turn it on. Adjust the power level according to the treatment requirements. Use the intensity control knob to increase or decrease the power output. Ensure that the scaling tip is properly seated and firmly held to avoid any vibration or movement during operation. Scaling Procedure: Begin the scaling procedure by gently placing the tip on the tooth surface, targeting the area to be treated. Use a moderate amount of pressure and move the tip in a controlled, sweeping motion along the tooth surface, following the contour of the teeth and gums. Pay close attention to the calculus or plaque deposits and aim to remove them effectively. Adjust the power level or select different tip options based on the patient's comfort and the nature of the deposit being treated. Rinse the treatment area frequently to remove debris and maintain visibility. Continue scaling until the desired result is achieved. Post-Scaling Care: Once the scaling procedure is complete, switch off the scaler unit. Instruct the patient to rinse their mouth thoroughly with water to remove any remaining debris. Provide appropriate post-scaling instructions for oral hygiene maintenance, such as brushing and flossing techniques.
